Timeless Love Song with Michael Buble

Timeless Love Song with Michael Buble

Bublé honed his skills as a showman through years of performing in hotel lounges and smoky bars — gigs his grandfather, a plumber, helped the underage singer secure by trading his plumbing services. By the time Foster met him 2000, Bublé already knew exactly what he brought to the table — a warm, engaging voice and unassailable taste in music. His debut album was an international smash, going Top Ten in the U.K. and Canada, and earning him his first Juno award for Best New Talent in 2004. The follow-up, It’s Time, sold more than 5.5 million copies, and has remained on the Billboard Traditional Jazz charts for a staggering two years, and in the Number 1 slot for more than 80 weeks, an all-time record. Timeless Love Songs with Diana Krall

Timeless Love Songs with Diana Krall

Diana Krall is the new female superstar of jazz music. Following in the footsteps of greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee, Diana Krall has won over both fans and critics with her mellow and contemporary tunes. Diana Krall was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, on the 16th of November, 1964. Music was always playing in the Krall family household, making music an integral part of Diana's childhood since she was able to crawl. She learned how to play the classical piano at the age of 4, and enjoyed playing the instrument along with her grandmother. She chose to take the jazz route in her teenage years, and played piano in a high school band. By the time she was 15, Diana was playing piano professionally, as a regular act in a hockey bar, an appropriate venue for a Canadian. They were so impressed with her skills, that they encouraged her to cross the border and move to Los Angeles. Thanks to a Canadian Arts Council grant, Diana took the advice of her mentors and headed to California, where she studied with pianist Jimmy Rowles.

Giant Poll

You know when you’re getting old when all the kids are asking “Who are the Sex Pistols”, do you not? Jeez, just this week my kid asked me, “Who the heck are Genesis? Some religious band or what?” It’s scandalous. But the day my kid asks “Who are the Beatles?” is the day I’ll be heading for the Buddhist temple for a five year silent retreat, mark my words. All’s the kids care about these days are Hannah Montana tickets, or maybe Rascal Flatts tickets if they got taste, but this past year has seen some awesome wrinkly rockers get back together. With the rumors of the Led Zep and Jackson 5 reunions, I’m just about losing it, here! Concert tickets are what it’s all about these days for us oldies. Be it Led Zeppelin tickets, Bon Jovi tickets, or Van Halen tickets, we just can’t wait to head out on our walking frames and boogie like it’s nineteen seventy nine. Who’da thunk it, huh?

What is the best recent Wrinkly Rock Reunion?
